ABOUT THE PHOTOGRAPHER
For nearly 20 years, Mark has earned a living working for some of the finest photo-driven newspapers across the country - nine in all.
Mark is a tireless perfectionist whose visual point of view has been recognized in national and international photojournalism contests since the start of his career. In 2002, at the Rocky Mountain News, he guided the photographic coverage of the Colorado wildfires that earned him, and the entire Rocky Mountain News photo staff, the 2003 Pulitzer prize for breaking news photography .
As with any accomplished photojournalist, Mark's work is laced with a bit of himself. His images are real, not contrived. They are direct, emotional and compassionate. The work, as it should be, is about people and how they feel and exist in the world around them. Mark continues to rely on substance, not flash, to capture the attention of his audience.
